The Rebellion Way

Cycling UK The Rebellion Way this one is a very beginner-friendly route, probably the most beginner-friendly bikepacking route I can think of. No special kit needed, no big travel bike. A little fitness to be able to pedal the 230 miles, but it’s in Norfolk, so you won’t need to worry about any lung busting climbs. Maybe a couple little draggy sections at most. And this route is pretty much all along paved services some cycle paths, some country roads. (it’s a little busy leaving Norwich) When you do head off-road it’s nothing too hard and mostly just some flat double track. A couple sections of narrow trails but again nothing to worry about. The off-road sections of this route are quite short, I found. You spend more time on tarmac than you do off-road, I wouldn’t use a road bike, or at least road tyres, but something like a Cyclocross tyre 30-35mm would work just fine.

There is not too much more for me to say, this is a route more about stopping and enjoying the scenery more than testing yourself up mountains, Its a casual touring route, great place to start if you want to try some bikepacking with a 2/4 days trip or longer.

Make sure you head over to Cycling UK for any updates or to read more about this route.
