Long way home Bicester-Bournemouth via Gloucester

A bit of a random route and adventure this one, just been visiting my mum in Bicester and wanted to cycle home back to Bournemouth but need to go and see Graham foot in Gloucester and film his bike for an upcoming video, so I linked together some trails I had not cycled on since I was much, much younger and a little bit shorter. So headed off into the Cotswolds towards Gloucester, through some very nice trials and certainly some very wet trails. It brought back a lot of memories of riding around these fields when I was younger.

The Cotswolds is a beautiful place to cycle but them trails can be very wet and very muddy at times and them trails can become over grown and a little flooded. There are a couple of sections on this route that this is like. But after the Cotswolds you will be heading towards Cranborne chase, lots of nice views and some great gravel around the Imber ranges.

I donโ€™t know if anyone will have much use for this route, but if you find yourself needing to go to Bournemouth via Gloucester, then go for it, Maybe take a trip to Bournemouth beach if you are local to any of it. I did this on a gravel bike, and it is mostly fine, bigger gravel tyres will help, but you need to make sure you still have a decent amount of mud clearance if you ride this route in the wetter months.
