Headstock 200

The headstock 200 another welsh adventure, not the easiest but certainly not as tough as the headstock 500, this is the shorter version of that route that I took on a little while back, this route was created by all mountain adventures and is going to be an official bike packing event that you can enter if you like, click the button below to find out more info about that.

This is one of them typical welsh routes it can beat you up at time but then leave you speechless with how beautiful it is. it’s certainly not easy, and you need a good level of fitness and bike handling skills, but this route tends to beat you up for a short while and then give you some rest bite. As I always say when heading to wales, though, leave the gravel bike at home if you really want to enjoy yourself. It is manageable, but there are plenty of rough trails that you will wish you had some chunkier tyres.

Plenty of spots to camp along this route and if you come off the route a little you can hide out in the bothy, it’s quite small, just some seats really. Bring a tent for this one, not enough trees to hand a hammock.

Hopefully if you take on the route you will get the nice Welsh weather and not the wet kind.
