A Wiltshire Adventure

Wiltshire bikepacking is one really great place to explore if you don’t want anything to crazy but want to be surrounded with green rolling hills, and great trails to cycle around on (sometimes a little overgrown) Wiltshire has some amazing old drove roads and gravel tracks as well as lots of grassy trails which a more fun when the sun is shining to be fair.

This is a fairly short route that I put together a while back, just 100 miles, great for a little overnighter to explore the countryside. If you are a beginner bike packer and just want to test out your kit your legs or whatever, and you are local then this should be a good route for you, it is an off-road route but does have a couple of road sections that are normally pretty quiet. It’s not completely flat and there are some climbs that will give you a bit of a challenge, but there is nothing too steep or hard to ride.

Take the gravel bike in the summer and MTB in the wetter months Wiltshire gets slippery when wet.
